Frames

The frames of the one-piece or modular press and the slide body are made of first-rate welded steel then annealed in order to remove all the internal stresses caused by welding. I.M.V. can build large size, one-piece presses thanks to its high performance and precision machines.

The modular frames are assembled by hydraulic tie rods. A series of drill collars assure a perfect concentricity of the components during the assembly at the user's place.

Advanced calculation and simulation software, together with a sixty-year experience, allow these machines to be designed and built taking into account the high load levels they have to endure and providing a proper structural rigidity to protect them from the typical "strain" of gap frames and the right-left, front-rear off-center load on presses with two or four connecting rods, and also the heavy stress levels of the lever-and-toggle presses.
